Buddhist art is to turn Buddha dharma being artistic, and there are two ways of learning; one is to learn about skills as one bases on using brush-pen, and the manner of learning is very much like that with the art of book, while the second way is for personality cultivation with one grounded in virtue and surfs between arts. Since it is well noted that wisdom comes from learning, brush-pen can be heart straightening as one tunes the heart and safeguards the spirit when tuning pen for concentration. Buddhist painting stresses on essence and form as Painting Theory says, “Essence comes and transmit from form, contour stands with lines, and lines are formed with brush strokes.”
All of the reality is reckoned as hallucinatory. But for the sake to propagate Buddhism we can then find the procreation of image as sages of times before use human image as well as human virtue, beauty, authenticity to interpret Buddha, and expound the grand mercy and kindness of Buddha. In such a way, the viewers have then been enticed of spirit to take after and reflect upon themselves, and they would also learn about the spirit of altruism. Thus, Buddha painting is most heart purifying and encouraging for goodness and as the best aesthetic education for people today.
