FAQs
General Questions
Where is your center located? How can I get there?
Our center is located at No. 47, Nanhai Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, directly across from Chien Kuo High School and next to the National Museum of History and the Taipei Botanical Garden.
You can take the MRT to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Station, exit from Exit 1 or Exit 2, and walk straight along Nanhai Road for about 10 minutes.
Alternatively, you may take the MRT to Xiaonanmen Station, exit from Exit 3, and walk toward the Taipei Botanical Garden for about 10 minutes to reach the center.
You may also take bus routes 1, 204, or 630 and get off at Chien Kuo High School (National Museum of History) stop; the center is about a 2-minute walk from there.
Additionally, due to the construction of the Wanda–Zhonghe–Shulin MRT line, Nanhai Road has changed to one-way traffic. Please take note, and we look forward to your visit.
Does your center have a parking lot for the public? If I am going to watch a performance, will there be parking available?
Our center does not provide parking spaces for the public. If you plan to drive, you may park in nearby public roadside parking spaces. However, since the center is located in the city center, roadside parking is often full, and the Wanda–Zhonghe–Shulin MRT line is currently under construction. Therefore, we recommend using public transportation for a more convenient visit.
What are your center’s opening hours?
The center is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and remains open on national holidays.
The center is closed on Mondays (except when Monday is a national holiday or a make-up holiday designated by the government), as well as on Lunar New Year’s Eve and the first day of the Lunar New Year (with any special adjustments to be announced separately).
However, administrative offices still operate on Mondays, so you may visit the center for official business if needed.
Can the public visit your center? Do I need to buy a ticket?
Our center consists of two parts: the Nanhai Theater and the Nanhai Academy.
The Nanhai Academy is an open space, and no ticket is required to enter. Exhibitions and activities held there are free of charge.
As for the Nanhai Theater, whether tickets are required depends on the specific performance. In general, events organized by our center are mostly free to attend, while non-center events follow the policies set by their respective organizers.
