Xie, Xin-tian born in Changhua County, Taiwan in 1958, once worked at Tungji Islet Weather Station in Penghu. In 1994, he was transferred to work at Yushan Mountain Weather Station. He is now still working there. Owing to living and working on Yushan Mountain, Xie has the opportunity to photograph floating clouds over the northern peak, and Yushan Mountain’s dramatic and changeable landscapes during four seasons, azaleas, high-mountain plants, and rare animals (Martes flavigula). These enchanting landscapes -- rarely-seen Martes flavigula, and so on -- become objects through his camera’s eye. He has recorded every detail. It is hoped that this exhibition can enlighten spectators’ eyes and Yushan Mountain’s beauty can take their breath away in astonishment.
