The Past Exhibitions
2010 International Pastel Artists Invitational Exhibition

Pastel is made from natural pigment. Its color is very authentic and pure. No solvent is added to it, and it does not fade or crack. One of the unique characteristics of pastel is the hazy effect. Pastel is popular in Europe and the U.S., and certainly is worthy of study by the people in Taiwan.
This exhibition is a continued effort from the 2007 show. Well-established art organizations, which are co-sponsors of this exhibition, include the following organizations and their officials: Professor Jason Chang, President, North America Pastel Association; Ms. Rae Smith, President, American Pastel Association; Ms. Sylvie Cabal, ex-President, France Pastel Association; and Ms. Fong Ling, ex-President, Hawaii Pastel Association.
Focus:The pastel works in this exhibition are provided by artists from different parts of the world as well as Taiwan. They have different styles and cover a wide range of subject matters. We anticipate that this artistic exchange will help the development of pastel art in Taiwan.
