Artist/Professor Li, Xiao-Kun is the full-time teacher of the Taiwan Arts Education center and has been active in the field of Chinese calligraphy both domestically and internationally. Most of his exhibited artworks are ink and wash paintings and Zen paintings, but only a few of his Chinese calligraphy works are exhibited in joint exhibitions. This is his very first solo Chinese calligraphy exhibition and more than 100 pieces of his Chinese calligraphy works will be exhibited.
Focus:The artwork in the limelight at this exhibition is a supersize horizontal scroll – "Avatamsaka Sutra" - written in seal characters with young monks painted on the side. This 120-meter long and 90-cm high art piece is currently the longest single Chinese calligraphy horizontal scroll in the world.
