In the circumstances of anxious lifestyle and unstable state of mind, intelligent people should know how to release their stress, to change state of mind and find something or somewhere for soul and hope. Through travelling around natural landscapes and tourist attractions, pursuing tranquillity, enjoying paintings, and sharing thoughts with each other, people can feel very much delighted. This is exactly like what Professor Ming-xian said: "Paintings depicts my state of mind whereas brush approaches spread my real thoughts. "
Taichung Chinese Painting Association occasionally organizes joint exhibitions each year. Besides promoting modern Chinese paintings, this Association also aims at linking brushes, state of mind and modern spirit. They emphasizes that the painting subjects should reflect life experience. So, everything can be brought into paintings. Painters' self-sensibility should be also focused. They bring what they hear and feel into paintings and bring their own individual characteristics into full play.
This time, Nanhai Art Gallery, National Taiwan Arts Education Center (NTAEC), will exhibit 60 water-ink paintings. These paintings are what are resulted from one-year efforts of the Association members. Welcome to all of you come to take a look and also give us your suggestions.
