In 2008, Olympic Game will take place in Beijing. The world will focus on the East. Art development between China and Taiwan has their differences. Taiwan has its brilliant development of oriental Chinese water-ink paintings and should demonstrate its results to the world. Taiwan should also enhance its art culture level and promote innovativeness of fine art. This time, NTAEC, Society of Modern Chinese Paintings, and Fulin Culture and Arts Foundation work together to organize 2008 Current-Trend Exhibition of Water-Ink Paintings in Taiwan.
In this exhibition, work of around 200 excellent painters, including the old, the middle-aged and young generations, will be displayed. In addition, to offer researchers with objective academic studies to understand Taiwan's current water-ink painting outlook. The Society of Modern Chinese Paintings is planning to publish a hardback book containing 250 pages of paintings. This book content is edited according to painters' age order.
Because the venue of NTAEC is not big enough for so many paintings, only paintings made in northern Taiwan are selected for display. We welcome all of you come to see this brilliant exhibition.
