Coming to Reality ‧ Chen, Lu Sheng's Brush and Ink Exhibition

Lu Sheng Chen was born in Yangjhong City of Jiangsu Province, China in 1956. In 1982, he graduated from Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Fine Arts College and he was also allowed to enter the master-degree programme of Fine Arts History and Theory Graduate Institute. Later he received his Masters degree. Throughout thirty years, he has devoted himself to studying the history and theories of fine arts as well as writing art criticism and making his own artworks. His publications including his editing work cover more than thirty categories. Among them, there are History of Paintings in China from 1949 to 1966, In Name of Art, etc. He has published more than one hundred papers. In addition, he has held his solo exhibitions at home and abroad. Three volumes of collections of his paintings have been published. What is more, he set up his private museum, Oil Lantern Museum. Now he is a researcher at Chinese Fine Arts Museum, the Director of the First Academy Department, the deputy editor-in-chief of a monthly journal, Chinese Fine Arts Museum, and the editor-in-chief of a monthly journal, Contemporary Chinese Paintings. He also acts as a guest professor at Nanjing Fine Arts College, at Art College of Shenzhen University, and at Jishou University.
