1. Stopping the Horse at the Crossroad - taken from the story of Yang Jia Jiang (The Warriors of Yang Clan). The Sung general, Jiao Guang-Pu, drifted in the Country of Liao. Without the pass to enter the gate and return to the Country of Sung, he encountered the eighth Yang sister, who disguised as a male soldier, and tried to take the pass from her. 2. Chun Tsao to the Rescue - The Sedan Chair is a comedy short-piece that features the female character, Chun Tsao, who is well versed in both singing and acting, and the hilarious comedic character, Governor Hu, with the support of the sedan chair bearers.
Focus嚗Stopping the Horse at the Crossroad has a complicated chair sequence and highly difficult stunt, requiring great chemistry between the two characters. The sedan chair bearers in The Sedan Chair carried the invisible sedan chair. Their movements and rhythm have to match that of the person sitting inside exactly. Up and down the mountain, speed up or slow down, their energetic movements express the beauty of impressionistic performance in traditional theater.
