With its theme “Standing on the Ridge of the World”, the first half of the concert introduces choral songs with folk characters including folk songs of Taiwan, Indonesia and Brazil; folk songs of Mongolia and Finland; folk dances and folk songs of Mexico; audiences will be able to appreciate the songs’ structure and the beauty of the melody through interesting commentary; a suite of 31 nursery-rhyme pieces by Tian-Hao Ran, a Taiwanese composer, will also be performed; the theme song of The Lion King in the second half of the concert in a new -style small-scale music play combining chorus and drama.
