油畫發展約有五、六百年歷史，一直是繪畫表現形式之主流，帶來之魅力至今不減反增，故深受世界各階層人士的喜愛，同時亦為本館重要之藏品類別之一。油畫的特性之一是可層層疊色，而其作品的呈現上，往往能展現出細膩、厚實與雄偉。為推廣大眾對油畫作品的欣賞與興趣，策畫展出本館油畫典藏作品，並呈現不同風格等油畫名家之作，內容豐富、精采可期，歡迎蒞臨觀賞。

With about five or six centuries of development history, oil painting has been the mainstream form of art. Its charm has increased rather than decreased, therefore, it is well received by people of all ranks of the world; meanwhile, it is one of major collection categories of NTAEC. Colour overlapping is one of the characteristics of oil painting, and its work always can present fine, thick and majestic look. In order to promote the public’s appreciation and interesting of oil painting works, the NATAEC oil painting collection works are going to exhibit in Nanhai Gallery. This exhibition will show the works of famous oil painters with different styles. Abundant contents are worthy of expects and all of you are welcomed to view.
