1966年生於桃園農村的林榮，以鄉村成長情感，特別用心畫出對這座蕃薯島的真情與人文，以及深植心中的回憶：黃金稻田、草垺情懷、油菜花田、蒼翠青山、瓊樓舊街、老厝牆角及繁忙小港等。融合中國水墨經驗與西方色彩的抽象元素，創造出獨特的藝術空間與繪畫美學。
聚焦賞析：技法上運用流動、乾濕、潑、點、層次、疏密及刮痕的肌理。在半具象與抽象中，藉由內心的靈動空間以尋求自我的新發現。
　
Born to an agricultural village in Taoyuan, Lin Rong, with his abundant feelings accumulated from growing up in the country, with great care paints the love and humanity of Taiwan and the memories rooted deeply in his heart: the golden rice fields, canola fields, green mountains, houses and old streets and hustle and bustle little harbours. An excellent combination of Chinese ink painting and elements of western abstract painting has created an art space and aesthetic unique to Lin Rong.
Focus：Mr. Lin applied the techniques of flowing, dryness and wetness, splashes of colour, dots, layers, density and scratched texture. In between the demi-representational and abstract styles, the painter looks for his own discoveries through his inner spiritual space.
