國家教育研究院於民國89年開始籌備，至民國99年通過國家教育研究院組織法，於民國100年3月30日正式掛牌。為慶祝國家教育研究院六周年院慶，院友會特於106年3月17日起至3月30日止，於國立臺灣藝術教育館舉辦會員書畫聯展。
Preparations for NAER started in 2000 and it was officially established on March 30th, 2011 after the Rules of organization for the National Academy for Educational Research were approved in 2010. In celebration of the 6th anniversary of its establishment, its alumni association will be holding a Joint Exhibition of Paintings by NAER members from March 17th – 30th, 2017.
