因為從小在鄉村成長，對於這蕃薯島的真情與人文我都期許自己希望盡我所能全力的用心畫下來，回憶，深植在心中，試著去捕捉過往流逝的歲月，那片黃金稻田，許多的草垺情懷，田埂間來回，美麗的油菜花田，蒼翠的青山，瓊樓舊街，老厝的牆角，繁忙的小港。
Because I grew up in the country, the love I have for the island and my understanding of its heritage and culture makes me want to do my utmost to paint them on canvas. Memories deep-rooted in my head, I try to capture the years that have passed – the golden rice fields, all those things that happened on haystacks, walking back and forth on ridges, the beautiful canola fields, green mountains, buildings along the old street, wall corners of old houses and the hustle and bustle of small ports.
