The rising of flowers and birds paintings was as early as in Han dynasty (around 206 B.C.–220A.D.) and Wei-Chin Period (around 220–419 A.D.), with its unique performance form that was only a kind of vision image attached with portrait/background or as decoration on handcrafts at that time but until around Five Dynasties (907-959A.D.) and Song Dynasty (960-1127A.D) became an independent painting subject.
Elaborated style of flower and bird painting is classified in its painting form for two types as outlines with colour filling and mogu. Its exact and fine outline performance with tender and classic colour tune as its form and style together with court paintings in Europe and Ykiyo in Japan brought a certain impact on painting history.
The works under this exhibition all are achievements from hard work of students and attentive instruction of teacher Mr. Lin Shu-nu. The visitors could see clues from the "blur dye" of each petal. Through this exhibitions, we hope to pass messages of beautify to those who also are in favour of paintings in elaborated style. We welcome your visit.
