現今，藝術品被視為一種「文物」，其內在的審美與歷史價值都已被漠視，僅留下「物」的經濟價值，文物與人之間漸行漸遠。然，文物的迷人之處，在於它的美感及時代感，唯有培養對文物的嗜好及歷史與鑑定方面的知識，才能穿過時代的迷霧，看到一絲絲歷史的微光，享受收藏文物所帶來遨遊時空的樂趣。
Su Shi once said, “You may leave your thoughts with objects but can never dwell on objects.”
Leaving your thoughts with things will make you feel happy and cause no harm, no matter how small or peculiar they are. Dwelling on things won't make you feel happy and will cause harm, no matter how small or peculiar they are.
Nowadays, art objects are considered “cultural objects,” and no one cares about appreciating them or their historical value. What’s left is their economic value as objects. People and so-called cultural objects are drifting away from each other. Yet, the charm of these objects lies in aesthetics and a sense of belonging to a particular period. Only by cultivating appreciating the objects as a hobby and gaining the relevant knowledge of history and appraisal can we walk through the mist of ages to see that weak stream of light from history and enjoy the fun of traveling through time brought by appreciating cultural objects.
