臺陽美術學會是台灣歷史最早的美術團體，成立至今已經73年，從第一屆(1934)公開展覽到70屆(2007)每年公開展出，（除了1945年二戰結束因時局動盪中斷了三年）展出分兩部分：一為會員作品發表，其二為公開募集的作品並且從中挑選青年俊彥成為會員，數十年來為台灣畫壇培養許多菁英人才。
臺陽經典70特展挑選的展出作品，為目前臺陽美術學會理監事們的勁作，31位理監事有資深大師與中堅會員，展出內容分別為油畫、膠彩、水墨、版畫等。不僅表現媒材多樣，風格突出與技法精練，絕對是值得好好品味的經典展出。

Tai-Yang Art Society is an art group with 73 years since foundation, which owns the longest history among all similar group in Taiwan, and held public exhibitions every year since first exhibitions in 1934 until 70th in 2007, apart from an interruption of 3 years due to turmoil after World War II in 1945. The exhibitions includes two parts: one would be announcement of memberships' works; another would be works under public collections, whose young authors would be our future memberships if being selected as many elites and talents in Taiwan painting arts has been cultivated by this way for several decades.
Under Tai-Yang Classic 70 Special Exhibition, the selected works for this exhibition are excellent works by the current directors/supervisors Tai-Yang Art Society; among those 31directors/supervisors, there are senior masters and main force of our memberships. The works under this exhibition includes oil painting, glue painting, ink painting and block print/engraving etc. Not only various performance intermedium but also prominent style and purifying skill would lead to a classic exhibition that definitely worth to pay your appreciation.
