花鳥畫的興起有其獨特的表現形式，早在兩漢及魏晉時期即有，當時只是一種附屬於人物背景的地位或裝飾在工藝品上的一種視覺形象。
工筆花鳥畫的繪畫形式分為鉤勒填彩及沒骨法兩種，其嚴謹細膩的線條表現、柔和典雅的設色形式風格與歐美宮廷繪畫及日本浮世繪均在繪畫歷史上有其一定的影響。
這次花鳥工筆A班通過申請，在戶外藝廊展出的作品全是學員們辛勤努力的成果，及林淑女老師細心的指導，觀者可從每一片花瓣的"暈染"中看出端倪。藉由這次的展出，希望能將美的訊息傳遞給喜愛工筆畫的同好。
The emergence of flowers and birds painting has its unique form of expression, which has been already shown in Han (East and West), Wei and Jin Dynasties, and was a kind of auxiliary to figure drawing as a background or a visional image as a decoration on handcrafts.
The painting forms of fine brushwork painting of flowers and birds are divided two kinds as curving, color filling and Mogu. Its conscientious and exquisite line as well as tender and elegant coloring style has definite influence, together with European palace painting and Japanese genre painting on painting history.
Flowers & Birds and Fine Brushwork Class A has passed the application that all works exhibited in the outdoor gallery are the results from members’ industrious efforts and carefully instructed by teacher Lin Shu-Nu that viewers may look the clue from the “demitint’ for every petal. By means of this exhibition, it’s expected to send the message of beauty to the like-minded of fine brushwork painting.
