因佛緣而聚，開成禪寺住持上常下通法師慈悲，在板橋三德講堂開創佛畫班，讓大眾能學習般若自在、自利及利他。「彩畫刻鏤」是造菩薩的形象，造像功德主要是宣揚這個法門的教學工具，也是讓我們想起佛陀的教誨，並時時提醒自己是否依教奉行。此次畫展是三德畫會同學心靈的分享，祈以畫會友，並共同推廣淨心活動。
