為了慶祝音樂神童莫札特的250歲生日﹝莫札特誕生於西元1756年1月27日﹞，奧地利定2006年為莫札特年，在維也納與薩爾斯堡等地將有全年度的慶祝活動，更在全球掀起一股莫札特風潮，國內許多相關團體也都已發起許多慶祝活動與音樂會。
而在本館劇場兩側的藝廊，特別規劃設計一場為期四週的莫札特紀念特展。將分別以「莫札特其人其事」、以及「莫札特的音樂藝術」為主題，內容包括：莫札特生平介紹、相關圖像、十八世紀歐洲藝術與生活相關資料圖像、國內外莫札特歌劇演出劇照與海報、莫札特樂譜與書信手稿摹寫本，結合美術、歷史、傳記、音樂、圖像以及軼聞，不只從聽覺、也由視覺、心靈的深刻感動，引領大家來到繆斯之子－神童莫札特的音樂世界。
A four-week Mozart memorial exhibition is specially planned to hold in the gallery, which is located at the two sides of the auditorium of this center. The theme of this exhibition will be "About Mozart" and "Mozart's Musical Art" with the contents including the introduction of Mozart, related pictures, information and pictures concerning European art of the 18th century, foreign and local stage pictures and posters of Mozart operas, Mozart's musical scores and manuscript of correspondences, combining fine art, history, music, pictures and anecdotes from both hearing and vision; the deep touch leads everyone to the son of Muse—The music whizkid Mozart's musical world.
