在這資訊發達、千變萬化的21世紀，平面設計已被廣泛的運用在社會各個層面、各個領域中，並以不同形式不同媒介來傳達訊息，成為人與人、人與社會及社會與社會，互通思想交流的主要途徑，同時也是引導、改變人類生活的原動力，在文化、經濟與社會中均扮演著重要的角色。
為讓民眾能夠一窺設計獨特之視覺語言及魅力，本館特別邀請國立台灣師範大學美術系、台灣海報設計協會共同來規劃台灣印象海報設計展。
本展應邀參展的國外大師有日本永井一正、福田繁雄、剛本茲夫，韓國白金男、姜炳敦，香港靳埭強、韓秉華，澳門吳衛鳴，深圳王奧飛，芬蘭Kari Pnppo，丹麥Mervyn Kurlansky等11位，他們大都是當地的全國設計團體理事長或主要活動負責人，也是國際大賽的評審。此外，參展的還有國內知名設計師，大家紛紛均以不同的設計手法表達對台灣的意念，作品估約50件，件件都是精彩萬分，值得一看；誠摯歡迎各界同好前來觀賞。
In this 21st century with vigorous information transmission and ever changing circumstance, graphic design has been widely applied to each level and each field of society, and used for transmission of message in various forms and through various media, and thus become a major route for thinking communication between people, between societies and between people and society at the same time when it is also one of the motivity to guide and change the life of human being and plays a important role of culture, of economic and of society.
In order to allow public to peep the unique visual language and allure of design, we have especially invited Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University and Taiwan Poster Design Association (TPDA) to commonly plan Taiwan Impression Poster Design Exhibition.
The foreign masters who were invited for participating of this exhibition include such as Kazumasa NagaiI, Shigeo Fukuda and ShigeoTsuyoshimoto from Japan, Bai-Jin-nan and Jiang, Bing-Dun from Korean, kan Tai Keung and Hon Bing-Wah from Hong Kong, Ung Vai Meng from Macao, Wang, Ao-fei from Shenzhen from, Kari Pnppo from Finland, and Mervyn Kurlansky from Denmark etc. Most of they are the presidents of national design organizations or hosts of major activities in their nations, and also are judges for international competitions. Besides, famous designers in our nation will also participate this exhibition. Everyone all express their idea about Taiwan through different designs with around 50 pieces. Every pieces is all magnificent and worth to have a look. We sincerely welcome the enthusiasts from all fields to come and enjoy it.
