原籍金門、旅居北縣近三十年的作家兼畫家陳女士，將於本館舉行個展，這是她開個展第十八次，預計展出近兩年來新作約五十餘幅，以『清境』為闡釋主軸的蓮花系列，墨影橫溢的小品和豪放瀟灑的巨幅連屏，各有可觀之處；而以金門古厝之燕尾脊為題材的『雲之鄉』系列，更透露其思鄉情意，而別具慧眼的『荒野有情系列』、『根系列』、『秋之華』、『新苗』等對大自然細微貼切的描繪，讓人對畫家觀景寫意之獨樹一格，留下深刻的印象，其豐富的潑彩，漸層的渲染及造境，以及獨特的氣氛營造，都是此次畫展的特色。
Originally from Kinmen but living in Taipei County for close to thirty years, the female painter Chen Neng-li will hold her 18th solo exhibition at this center, and this exhibition is expected to include roughly fifty new works made over the last two years. The exhibition's main theme will be her lotus blossom series, which explore the "realm of purity." Her generously-rendered small works and bold large screen paintings all have their appeal and interest. The "Land of Clouds" series, which take the swallow-tail eaves of old houses in Kinmen as their theme, reveal the artist's remembrance of her home. Rich spots of color, gradually layered highlights and compositions, and unique sense of mood characterize the paintings in this exhibition.
