徐明寄，1943年生於桃園縣，大學畢業後研習中國書畫，迄今卅餘年。作品曾經獲得全國美展、台灣省美展、南瀛美展、教育部文藝創作獎、台陽美展、高雄美展、桃源美展等國內及大陸、日本、韓國等各大小獎項卅餘次。曾舉辦個人畫展六次，並出版畫集兩集，曾參加國內外各大小聯展數十次。
為尋求突破，於2002年赴大陸遊學，定居於上海，遍遊名山大川，觀察各地風土民情；遍訪名家前輩，廣汎吸取經驗。承蒙李奇茂老師推荐，在上海受到國畫大師劉旦宅教授的愛護，在其悉心指導點撥之下，進步良多。旅居大陸期間，曾在上海中國畫院交流展出精心畫作四十餘幅，深受好評。後受邀赴重慶中外文化交流中心展出，亦受到歡迎與肯定。此次回台展出作品卅六幅，悉為旅居大陸時作品，敬請藝教前輩各界賢達不吝指教。
Xu Ming-Ji, born in Tao-Yuan County in the Year of 1943. After his study at the University, he started to learn Chinese paintings for more than 30 years till now. His works once won many awards, including National Arts Exhibition, Taiwan Provincial Arts Exhibition, Nan-Ying Arts Exhibition, Arts Creation Awards of Ministry of Education, and Tai-Yang Arts Exhibition. In order to seek breakthrough, he went for a short-term study at Mainland China in the year of 2002, and resided in Shang-hai to travel all over the island and observe customs & cultures from all over the places. He visited experts from different places and absorbs their experiences. He demonstrates 6 of his works this time, which is created during his stay at Mainland China.
