作者吳淑瑛，台灣省嘉義縣人，1957年生，畢業於前台南師範學院，任教卅年退休。性好水墨，尤愛山水，閒暇樂以書畫怡情養性。啟蒙於台南師院蔡茂松教授，其後曾拜於王榮武、蘭培林、徐士文、王景浩等師門下習畫，現師事陳銘顯、陳華、蕭世瓊等師習書畫。並榮獲台中市文化局列為台中市女性藝術家及台中市當代藝術家行列。
此次假國立台灣藝術教育館南海戶外藝廊，展出三十七幅水墨作品，誠摯歡迎您前來觀賞，並請不吝賜教。
　
The painter of the exhibition is Wu Shu Ying. Born in Chia-yi County, 1957, I graduated from Tainan Teachers' College, After being a teacher for 30 years, I am retired now. I have a preference for water-ink paintings, those with mountains, lakes and rivers in particular. I like to paint and read in my leisure time. I was introduced into the wonderful world of paintings by Professor Tsai Mao-Sung of Tainan Teachers' College, Then learned the art of paintings under tutelage of Wang Zhong-Wu, Lan Pei-Lin, Shu Shi-Wen and Wang Ching-How. Right now I am sharpening the skill of paintings with Mr. and MRS. Chen Min-Xien Chen Hua, Xiao Shi-Jhong. I am greatly honored to have been listed as one of The Taichung female painters and Taichung contemporary painters by the Cultural Bureau of Taichung City Government.
Nan-hai Outdoor Gallery of National Taiwan Arts Education Center is the location of the exhibition. I present 37 water-ink paintings for the show. I cordially ask you to come to my exhibition and all comments are welcome.
