本次展出的花東「藝極風」，是由一群國立花蓮教育大學藝術與設計學系二、三年的同學，共同展出的創作。展出作品以油畫居多，粉彩、版畫、插畫等類別次之，所有創作均是今年完成的作品。
該校藝術與設計學系同學們的作品，能藉由這次在北部展示的機會走出校園，參展同學們都顯的相當開心且興奮，大家都抱持著全力以赴的精神，將作品做最完美的呈現。能將在學期間努力創作的作品，藉由展示機會與北部民眾分享，就是希藉此評賞的機會，聆聽前輩指正，以作為增進畫藝的不二法門。
　
"Maximum Style for Arts" of Hualien and Taitung is an exhibition of work made by junior and senior students in Department of Arts and Design, National Hualien University of Education. The art work includes oil paintings, pastel painting, printmaking, illustrations, etc. Among all these categories, oil painting is the largest. All the displayed work is newly made -- being completed this year.
Through this opportunity of exhibition in Taipei, these students' work can leave the campus and be exhibited in a wider world. They are specially delighted and excited. All of them have a strong spirit with whole-hearted efforts to represent their best part of themselves. It will be a wonderful occasion that audiences in northern Taiwan can look at these students' pieces of artwork made with efforts during their study days. Of course, these students can also use this opportunity to listen to other people's suggestions and further enhance their painting techniques. This is the best way to improve themselves in arts.
