南管戲是傳統古老劇種之一，據考現存南管戲的劇本所保存之原始風貌源自宋元南戲，發源福建泉州一帶，本折描述三人私奔過程，一路上益春跟五娘爭風吃醋她的天真逗趣，緩解五娘思親情懷。豐富的南管音樂唱腔，藉由細膩的身段，載歌載舞中，表露了南管戲曲優雅的美學。

Nanguan opera is one of the oldest traditional Chinese theatrical forms. Its extant scripts are believed to preserve an original style that can be traced back to Southern drama of the Song and Yuan dynasties, originating in the Quanzhou region of Fujian. This excerpt portrays the story of three characters’ elopement. Along the journey, Yichun’s innocent and playful nature adds a light-hearted tone, easing Wu Niang’s longing for her family. With its rich Nanguan vocal and musical traditions, combined with refined body movements and expressive dance, the performance reveals the elegant aesthetics of Nanguan opera through a seamless integration of song and movement.
