In Taiwan with many ethnic groups, records of live language still remain. Thus, this island becomes rich in every way. These live ethnic groups have followed their origins and depended on their firm legends and beliefs to carry on the culture of the island and its people. Strong will for survival and eternal beauty will still keep on their vigour.
Parrot Dance is a new work composed of dance and poetry. The art director Mou-si Liao and the poet Yu-fang Li cooperate together to carefully select several Taiwanese poems. Then, choreographers such as Mou-si Liao, Ming-jhen Li, Ting-jhu Jhuou, Tsuei-shuang Lai, and Guei-ru Dong together interpret the island culture of co-habitation among people, between people and nature, and among people, fish, birds and animals in poems. This is dance poetry with affection, employment of wisdom and exploration of profoundness as well as being a direct expression able to integrate the audience's realization and capacity for life.
