劇情從Peer (即英文Peter)這個人的年輕時代開始講起：遊手好閒的青年時期，浪蕩無羈的中年時期，潦倒落魄的老年時期……透過Peer萬花筒般的一生，我們看到他做了很多事，但最後卻一事無成；繞一大圈回到他本來的地方，才發現自己是空心的，而生命卻已即將走到終點。
　
Dealing with the leading character Peer’s life journey, this play starts from his youth：He loafs and wanders about doing nothing during his youth, leads a debauched life during middle age and becomes unhappy and listless during old age. Through Peer’s kaleidoscope-like life, we could see that he has done lots of things, but achieves nothing. In the end, he goes back to the square one and realizes his life approaches its end but he is entirely empty.
