Ming-Zhu Girls’ Taiwanese Opera Troupe will produce the 2009 show called Female as Martyr Endures Great Hardship. This is about the story happening to old days when a woman who had suffered greatly. In spite of strong personality, she still needed to endure a life of sadness and sorrow – swallowing humiliation and carrying heavy responsibility and searching for survival in a desperate state. The plot is very carefully structured in every detail. Actors have their obvious characters. The theme is profoundly unique. Modern thinking and values are used to demonstrate conflicts in love and hate during olden days. The show is very educational, offering audiences reflections upon human life.
