這位「記錄了由小市民至知識分子，從廟口至音樂殿堂所有心聲」的作曲家郭芝苑，創作了歌劇、管絃樂、室內樂、鋼琴曲、歌曲等，質量兼備且具現代性的作品，無論藝術歌曲、通俗小曲或童謠，都能喚起大家對土地的感情與共鳴。因而獲得金曲獎終身特別貢獻，以及多項獎項的肯定。
聚焦賞析：由阮文池先生指揮，女高音洪淑珍、郭芝苑室內合唱團演唱藝術歌曲、臺灣民歌編曲、創作臺灣民歌等作品；旅俄鋼琴家陳秋佑鋼琴獨奏；旅美小提琴家楊婉婷獨奏郭芝苑先生量少但都十分優美動聽的小提琴作品。
