教育部為增進學生美術創作素養，培養國民美術鑑賞能力並落實學校美術教育，特舉辦全國學生美術比賽。共分七大類別，包括：國小組-繪畫類、書法類、平面設計類、漫畫類、水墨畫類、版畫類等6類；國中組、高中（職）組及大專組-西畫類、書法類、平面設計類、漫畫類、水墨畫類、版畫類等6類。自國小至大專共計55組。
並於100年12月31日（六）14:00南海劇場舉行頒獎典禮。
　
In order to enhance student’s arts creation capacity, to cultivate citizen’s ability of appreciation and to put the school arts education into effect, the Ministry of Education thus organized the National Student Art Competition. It is divided into two categories: elementary school section - painting, calligraphy, graphic design, comics, ink painting and prints; junior and senior high school (including vocation school) plus college section- western style painting, calligraphy, graphic design, comics, ink painting and prints. From elementary school to college, there are up to a total of 55 groups.
The awarding ceremony will be held at the Nanhai Theater from 14:00 on December 31 (Sat) 2011.
