The playwright, according to his/her personal needs and the historical records, highlights through the performance the features of the characters of the stories. Kungu opera is the mother of operas. There are several classic dramas that are worth appreciating over and over again, especially excerpts from “The Story of the Jade Hairpin”: “The Heart-Stirring Lute”, “The Secret Poetic Epistle” and “Autumn River” which are all widely loved.
