光影嬉遊記之《孫悟空大戰蜘蛛精》融合了中國戲曲身段、皮影戲雋永美術風格與電影式運鏡及現場音樂，絕對嶄新的戲劇、經典文學及電影相遇的影像美學。流雲、山水、樓台亭宇，大銀幕流暢的瞬間變化，精彩地令人屏息，是一場成人、孩童皆能分享的奇趣想像體驗。
西遊記雖然是國人家喻戶曉的故事，也是國內傳統戲曲中常見戲碼，但是西方導演相當忠於原著的細節及人物的性格，期能傳達經典文學的內涵，讓觀眾重新體會到西遊記中作者原有的詩歌、文字及語言的美感。

This play has been produced by The Puppet & Its Double Theater internationally and elaborately for three years; Mr. Larry Reed, the American shadow play master led 14 Taiwan's excellent players to combine traditional and modern characteristics. Its unique large-screen shadow play features the real person and shadow puppets in a same stage, which can be compared to the special effect and technique of movie, displaying the new feature of shadow play which has been never seen.
The "Sunwukong Fights Spider Trickster" of Fun Shadow Play blends the figures of Chinese drama, meaningfully art style of shadow play and picture control of movie, as well as live music—a kind of image aesthetics encountered with absolutely brand new drama, classic literature and movie. The flowingly instant change of cloud, mountain, river, tower and pavilion in a large screen makes viewers draw breath splendidly. It is a show of interesting imagination experience which adults and children could share.
The Adventures of Monkey is a widely known story in Chinese and a common play of Chinese traditional dramas, however, western director is very true to the details of original work and character of figures, who expects to convey the contents of classic literature in order to let viewers re-realize the beauty of original poetry, writing and language in original work of The Adventures of Monkey.
