「唸歌」是台灣土生土長的一種說唱藝術，是一種結合民間文學與民間歌樂的藝術結晶，形式以七言四句押韻為主，俗稱四句連仔或七字仔，其語言質樸自然，頗能反應先民生活經驗及情感，其表達方式和文學技巧類似古代的詩經，故有「台灣國風」之雅稱。
這次演出結合月琴、大廣弦、鍵盤樂器等將優美的四句連仔詩以傳統唸謠、創新詞曲方式吟唱。讓民間曲藝「按詞配曲」的演唱精神有如種子一般，發芽並開出美麗的花朵。
"Chanting stories" is a kind of talking and chanting art, created and developed here in Taiwan. It is a kind of art fruit, combined with folk literature and folk music/songs, formed mainly with 4 sentences and 7 words for each sentences to be a rhymed verse. Customarily, it is called as Si-ku-lian or Chi-Zi-Zei. The words are rustic and natural, which pretty reflect life experience and emotions of ancestors. The expression manner and literature skill are similar to the ancient Books of Songs. As so, it was given an elegant name as "Taiwan Guo Fong".
This show is combined with such as four-stringed musical instrument, Daguangxian, and keyboard etc. The exquisite Si-ku-lian verse will be chanted by way of traditional rhyme reading with innovative lyrics and melody, which would sprout the soul of this vocal performance, "creating melody following lyrics" of folk art forms, as seeds and then bloom attractive flowers as a result.
