民國初年，北京天橋地區為民間什樣雜耍與各類買賣的娛樂中心，什樣雜耍囊括說、唱、變、練等表演藝術，並以「說」與「唱」為主，包括各類大鼓、評書、相聲等北方說唱。「大漢玉集」創團以來，說唱並重，更結合戲劇，加入現代元素，創發說唱劇。本節目分為傳統篇、創作篇、戲劇篇，型態多樣。
At the beginning of the establishment of the Republic of China, the sky bridge district in Beijing was an entertainment center for a variety of performing arts and various items for sale. The various performing arts includes talking, singing, magic shows, and practicing acrobatics. Among them, talking and singing are equally emphasized, and they include the northern-style talking and singing literature, such as drum shows, storytelling, and comic dialogues. Since the establishment of Da-Han-Yu-Ji Theater Group, talking and singing have always been their focus. They further incorporated drama and modern elements into their shows to create the so-called “talking-singing drama.” The program includes the traditional-piece chapter, newly-created-piece chapter, and drama chapter.
