故事敘述一位母親在歷經丈夫的家暴砍殺後，她如何勇敢面對家暴所產生的陰影、病痛及所引發的心理諸多問題，且在受暴砍殺後拖著自身病痛扶養唯一的孩子，卻在此時發生獨子罹患肝癌，並於96年5月病逝……。張媽媽對孩子的親情及對生命的看法，衍生出許多溫馨動人的故事與對話，本劇以真實個案改編而成，企圖以感人的故事及呈現手法，讓國人關心受暴的婦女所帶來的醫療、警政、法律及社會援助，極需各界重視及推廣。

The story deals with how one woman, Mrs Jhang, having experienced domestic violence and being injured by her husband faces many physical and psychological problems bravely. Suffering from pain, she still needs to raise her only child up. However, her only son died of liver cancer in May 2007. With this woman's affection towards this child and her attitude towards life, many warm and moving stories which dialogues are created. This play is an adaptation based on a true story. Through the moving story and representative approach, it is intended to incite the public's attention to women suffering from domestic violence as well as to medical treatment, police force, law and social help. It is hoped that this issue can attract attention and publicity from every field.
