「從前從前天很矮」在古老的傳說裡天上與地上中間只隔著一層薄薄的雲，天上的人有一對會飛的翅膀，地上的人有一雙特別長的手。他們就像樓上和樓下的鄰居，互相往來分享彼此的收穫！突然有一天，天升高了！天究竟為什麼會升高？天上人還能再見到地上人嗎？
　
「從前從前天很矮」結合真人與偶的變化，以說唱藝術方式演出。如詩歌般的演出型式，算是顛覆以往鞋子所出品的偶戲，這次更加入歌舞的元素不僅吸引孩子更專注於劇情，也提升孩子的藝術欣賞層次。
　
"Once upon a time, the sky was very short" In the ancient legend, it is said that between the sky and the ground is only a layer of thin cloud. People on the sky had a pair of flying wings whereas those on the ground had a pair of special hands. They were just like neighbors living upstairs and downstairs and shared their fruitful gains with each other. Suddenly, one day the sky was risen up. Why on earth was the sky risen up? Can people in the sky see those on the ground again?
The play Once upon a Time, the Sky Was Very Short combines real people and puppets and is performed with the approach of talking-and-singing art. The poetry-like performance can be said a puppet show that subverts what Shiny Shoes Children's Theater has done in the past. This time, the element of singing and dancing is brought in. Not only can it attract children to pay attention to the plot, but also it can enhance their level of appreciating art.
