Fine Drawing is a method of making water-ink paintings in a conscientious and careful procedure. From outlining, through grounding, fen ran, and zhao ran, to xuan ran for background, one should experience various delicate steps and then gradually complete the whole work. We can use a common phrase “Slow work yields fine products” to describe this. Our National Taiwan Arts Education Center’s Study Class A members who are mostly retired people and housewives, under Shu-nui Lin’s dedicated supervision, have experienced the beauty of nature and the fun of slow work through their own learning and creative process. In addition, they can naturally cultivate themselves to have patience and stability. Through the process, they have learned a lot. We hope that through the exhibition beauty can be delivered to fine drawing lovers.
Focus:From fine drawings spreading conscientiousness and delicacy, one can sense the power of stability, tranquillity and wisdom. From every petal made by yun ran technique, one can sense the beauty of seeing the world through a flower.
