“Gardens are an important inspiration for the impressionist master Monet. Working with the exhibition - “Monet: Landscapes of Mind”, Taipei Botanical Garden and the National Museum of History have especially built landscapes that remind people of gardens in Monet’s paintings, providing citizens an environment that they could relate to Monet’s paintings. This year’s painting competition has as its theme this garden built for the exhibition in hopes of stimulating children’s imagination and perception and enabling them to paint their own Monet’s garden.
Focus:The media used in the exhibited works are crayons, color markers and water colors and the paintings are in quarto. Through their perceptions of it, children have painted the garden of the “Monet: Landscapes of Minds” on paper in their own way and share it with the public.
