A Magical Flower Journey

Taiwan Foundation for Rare Disorders established its “Spiritual Painting Class” in 2004 to teach patients painting techniques, cultivate their artistic side and help them have confidence in themselves in the process so that they may live positively, under the influence of art.
Using flowers as the theme, patients created diverse art pieces in 2D or 3D, including marionettes, art pieces created with mixed media, collectively-created installation art pieces etc., exhibiting the passions and life perceptions of patients with rare disorders.
Focus:The theme of the exhibition is “flowers”. Students’ experience and perception gained in daily life are exhibited via their watercolor paintings and installation art pieces. Moreover, viewers will get to see artists’ reflection on life from these art pieces. A total of 55 art pieces are displayed in the exhibition, and each has its own story to tell. Your presence and comments are most welcome.
