Faint Fragrance Floating – The Art of Nieh Hui-Yun
For “Faint Fragrance Floating – The Art of Nieh Hui-Yun”, the artist uses meticulous heavy colors as her media to depict the artistic conception and circumstances of Eastern humanities and culture. Her paintings include four aspects: 1. to display good times, life in Taiwan and Taiwan’s natural history; 2. to display her observation of 21st century economic development and reflect on current female consciousness and social phenomena ; 3. to depict her realization through religion and self-knowledge and by helping others achieve realization after entering her middle age and having a different mindset; 4. to inject new cultural heritage through the creativity of Chinese calligraphy and art by working with folk arts and craftsmanship.
Focus:The exhibited works include Chinese calligraphy and paintings on paper and silk scrolls as well as artworks using silk, leather, metalwork from her Chinese calligraphy and painting series.
