Professors Huang Mei-Xian and Zhang Bing-Huang join forces to bring the audience the flowers and fruits commonly seen in Taiwan with their oil paintings and Chinese calligraphy that easily resonate with the viewer aesthetically. The exhibited works include works that required highly-skilled traditional techniques and works created digitally. Every piece is highly artistic and creative and worth spending time appreciating.
Focus:Professor Huang Mei-Xian used oil paints to depict many kinds of clustered orchids. The versatile designs and rich colors flesh out the compositions and make her works highly rhythmic. “The E-Chinese Calligraphy Writing System” developed by Professor Zhang Bing-Huang and his research team, in addition to keeping the traditional bone method of using the brush (translated literally), offers many color choices that add a modern and artistic touch to Chinese calligraphy.
