Yang Xiu-qing, a folk art master, has dedicated sixty years of her life to the art of narrative songs, she was awarded the Folk Art Heritage Award in 1989 by the Ministry of Education, the 11th National Culture and Arts Award in 2007 by the National Culture and Arts Foundation. In 2009, she was awarded the 1st Taipei Traditional Art Master inscription board, the highest honor co-nominated by Taipei City Mayor Hao Long-bin and Taipei County Magistrate Jhou Xi-wei, by President Ma Yin-jeou in person.
Focus：Assigned as the art master in the 2009 Intangible Cultural Heritage Preservation by the Council for Cultural Affairs, master Yang is now actively promoting her folk art performances. This performance is also the presentation of our seeds, called as “Yi Sheng”.
