Celebrating this countrys 100 years-old birthday, we put on three Chinese opera classic scenes on stage: the first show The Invincible General describes Jhao Zhi-long has no rivals on Steep Slope. This representation will give the audience a chance to experience the atmosphere created in the Three Kingdoms Era. The middle performance is the full-length Legend of the White Snake, demonstrating both civil and martial plays of excellence. The last pieces collect the classic Chinese operas segments like Tong Tian Si, The Stolen Mail, Drunken Boxing at the Entrance of Mountain, and Stopping the Horses. All is to show how this department has fostered for the last eight years.
Focus嚗The three parts connect the parts of time and pass down a legacy of drama in a hundred year. The Chinese opera talents follow this trend: In suit of heavy armor, Jhao Yun wearing armor(Kao) exhibits martial arts of excellence and gestural performance of subtlety; the martial play of great tension starts at the Flood over the Golden Mountain Temple scene, followed by the beautiful singing performance during leading characters sauntering the lake and the borrow of umbrella; both stunning martial and civil plays in all these segments of Chinese operas fully illustrate the fruitful result of the legacy in this genre of art.
