The performance becomes even more enriching because of the two solo singing pieces. Furthermore, with Zhang School’s Su San Escorted Under Guard, Cheng School’s The Dream of a Lady, Mei School’s The Cosmic Sword, Yang School’s Wenzhao Pass, and Xun School’s A Beggar’s Daughter, the performance showcases the distinctive vocal styles of different Peking Opera schools, enabling the audience to gain deeper understanding of Peking Opera and develop greater appreciation for this art form.
